Group Class Dates – (This is for any first or second year student who currently does NOT participate in group at Ambleside or HCYO. HCYO and Ambleside students are invited, but not required to be there.)

Large group class is intended to further your child’s ability to play as an individual and with a group. The kids have fun seeing others playing and participating in such a large group activity. Please help make it special by attending every class.

Spring Semester Individual Recital –Saturday April 30 at 3 p.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg. (601 West Creek Street ) There will be two hours of recital that day. Younger students will be the first hour. More advanced students will play on the second hour. Attendance is MANDATORY.

Spring Semester Group Recital – Saturday May 14 at 3 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Fredericksburg. (107 E. Lower Crabapple Road) Attendance is MANDATORY.

Parents as Partners – Thanks to all who are participating. I hope you have been watching the videos. I have found them very interesting and motivational!

Practice Charts – Please use your practice charts. ALL STUDENTS NEED TO USE THE PRACTICE CHART AND BRING THEM TO EVERY LESSON. I made the whole semester’s practice charts at the beginning of the January and they are expected to be brought all lessons. Also, start bringing your books and get a notebook (if you haven’t already) to keep your practice chart and book in!

TMEA Convention Coming Up – I will need to reschedule some of you in order to travel to the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio February 11th and 12th. I will contact you regarding rescheduling some time that week if you have a Friday or Saturday lesson.

Fredericksburg Community Orchestra – Fredericksburg Community Orchestra is well on its way to being a tax exempt organization. It will house group classes and ensembles for next year. This will make it easier for us to have appropriately leveled group classes for all involved in this area.

Meetings for the orchestra will be, February 4 and 18. Educational session will be at 6:30 p.m. Rehearsal will be at 7 p.m.
